This policy explains what information PayoffDesk collects, how it is used, and the choices available to you. By using this site you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
Calculator inputs. Everything you type into a calculator is processed in your browser. It is never transmitted to our servers and we never see it.
Usage data. Like most websites, we and our analytics provider collect standard technical information: IP address, browser type and version, device type, referring page, pages visited and time spent. This is used in aggregate to understand which tools are useful.
Contact information. If you email us, we retain your message and address for as long as needed to respond and to keep a record of the correspondence.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies for analytics and to support advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking them will not prevent the calculators from working.
Third-party advertising
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices.
Where required, we present a consent management notice before setting non-essential cookies, in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation and the ePrivacy Directive.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to measure traffic. Google’s privacy practices are described in its own privacy policy. IP anonymisation is enabled.
Your rights
EEA and UK residents (GDPR). You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Our lawful bases are consent (for advertising and analytics cookies) and legitimate interests (for site security and aggregate measurement).
California residents (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not sell personal information for money; the use of advertising cookies may constitute “sharing” under the CPRA and you may opt out using the mechanisms above.

Data retention
Aggregate analytics data is retained for up to 26 months. Email correspondence is retained for up to 24 months after the matter is closed.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical measures to protect the limited data we hold.
International transfers
Our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where personal data is transferred out of the EEA or UK, we rely on the Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above.
